On Monday, June 2, 2003 Governor Jim Douglas hosted senior U.S. Department of Education advisor and director of the Reading First program, Chris Doherty, at H.O. Wheeler School in Burlington. During the visit, Mr. Doherty and Governor Douglas toured the school, visited with students and made an important announcement about the state's federal accountability plan.
