Governor Douglas Celebrates Opening of Trout Fishing
Saturday, April 10, 2004 ---Governor Jim Douglas is shown at the
Dog River in Montpelier as he met with anglers to celebrate the start
of Vermont's
trout fishing season on April 10. April, May and June are prime time
for trout fishing in Vermont. More than 120,000 anglers spend $111
million annually in Vermont, including $59 million just in food,
lodging, transportation and related items and $45 million for equipment.
